The School
Middleton Primary School was opened on 1 September 1998, with the amalgamation of Middleton Infant and Junior Schools. Both schools enjoyed good local reputations and we have continued to build on these strengths. The new link building was completed in January 2001, enhancing continuity throughout the school. At present, all classes throughout Key Stages 1 and 2 have additional provision for the hearing impaired, other special needs and pre-school children. Our commitment to supporting children’s learning is reflected in the high adult:pupil ratio.
“Pupils are very well cared for and receive good quality support and guidance.”
(Ofsted Inspection Report, November 2006)
“Those with additional learning needs are very well supported by the generous staffing levels and expert teaching assistants”
